First, thanks to everyone for all the wonderful comments on my family portraits. I'm still relatively new to blogging and it's always hard to know the balance to have between business and personal items. But I figure it's my blog so I'll just write about what's going on with me and hopefully you'll enjoy it! Also thanks to everyone that has become a follower - it's great to be able to put faces and names to everyone who's reading even if you don't leave comments. I promise to visit each and every one of your blogs.
Second, I received the nicest email from one of my 2009 brides the other day. She told me that before hiring me she was at her wit's end and was just ready to elope. She was completely stressed out and not enjoying the wedding process at all. But since hiring me she is actually enjoying her wedding planning process and excited about each phase of planning. This just made my day! I sincerely love what I do and I care about each one of my clients. It just warmed my heart to know that I am making such an impact on the experience my client is having with planning her wedding. Planning a wedding should be exciting and enjoyable. If this has not been your experience I really suggest finding a qualified planner that can help to relieve your stress and become a partner in making your wedding day everything that you want it to be.
Third, not so pleasant but I feel like it needs to be addressed. While looking at a fellow planners website I saw one of my photos from one of my events that I had posted on my blog. Although the section of her website was "look book" and not "portfolio", it still implied that the photos were her work. I know that new wedding and event planners have a hard time finding photos to put on their website. But it is NEVER ok to use someone else's work without permission or without giving them credit. I love the blog world and the fact that we can exchange ideas and provide inspiration to one another. But don't do anything that would compromise your integrity or make you look unprofessional by "stealing" someones photos or passing off their work as your own. Even though we are all over the world, with the Internet the world is a very small place, so don't think that no one will ever know the difference if you use a few photos that aren't your work.

I've only been following your blog for a short while - maybe a week. But I felt like I might be able to offer a little help with your work photos being taken. Whenever you post sensitive photos, watermark them in Photoshop so that people will know that they're yours. You would either want to watermark them as Blogged by Lemiga Events or a Lemiga Event. Something that lets people know that you're attached to the photo, but not the photographer. Hope that helps! And I love your blog! :-)
