Venue Spotlight: Blue Mark Studios

For those looking for a unique event venue, Blue Mark Studios, located in Midtown West, near the King Plow Center, is a renovated 110 year-old Church that offers more than 3000 square feet of event space.

There is a ballroom with high ceilings and hardwood floors

There is also a lower level that features exhibition and party space, a kitchen and built in bar.
The owner is working on developing a rooftop garden with spectacular views of the Atlanta skyline. As one of the few venues in Atlanta that allows you to bring in your own caterer and alcohol for events, Blue Mark is definitely worth taking a look at for your next event!

Palomar Hotel

Last night I had the opportunity to attend the grand opening celebration of the fabulous new Palomar Hotel in Midtown Atlanta.


The hotel suites were open for us to look at. The beds looked so comfy!

The theme of the event was 'Art in Motion', so they had these great performance artists in picture frames
One idea I would love to do for a wedding is to have an artist paint a scene from the wedding. At the party they had an artist painting the hotel from the street

My favorite part of the hotel is the outdoor terrace! The floor is marble with a pattern of grass in between.

Venue Spotlight: Atlanta Botanical Gardens

If you are searching for a wedding venue definitely consider the Atlanta Botanical Garden. I had the opportunity to do a tour, and not only do they have beautiful gardens to get married in, but they also have stunning indoor spaces as well.

The Cranky Princess

For my daughter Kristen's 4th birthday, we had a princess tea party at a great place called The Cranky Princess, located in Stone Mountain.The owner Lauren, really has thought of everything to make parties a magical experience for little girls.I'll be sharing pictures from Kristen's party. ISES Atlanta Event

Last month I attended, "Senses of the Season", a membership event for ISES Atlanta. The event was held at Bold American's new venue Studio 887 at King Plow. Wine tasting stations from Winefellow were paired with food tasting stations from Bold American. This concept would be so much fun for a birthday party, shower or even a rehearsal dinner.If you've ever been to a wine tasting then you know that by the end of the night it can be hard to remember which wines you had and which ones you liked best. Winefellow has solved this problem by using capture technology. Each guest receives a badge that has a bar code that contains their name and e-mail address. When you taste a wine you rate it from 1 to 10. Then the server scans your badge and enters in your rating. After the party, the company emails you the list of wines you tasted and what you rated each wine. They also tell you where to locally find the wines you liked. The decor was perfect for a fall wine tasting. Something as simple as grapes made such a visual impact with the roses and beautiful linens.
The venue, a turn-of-the century renovated warehouse, had great rustic charm with exposed brick walls and remnants of the original warehouseI'm still learning how to use my camera - here is my attempt to show how the room looked with all the candlelight.
