Model for A Day

My husband and I had the chance to participate in the Love Affair photography workshop and it was a blast! Here are a few preview shots from our fabulous photographer Davina.
My hair and makeup was definitely a different look for me. But that's what these shoots are for - to have fun and take chances.
After almost 9 years of marriage it's great to have images like these. I definitely recommend a fun photo session just because!

Featured on Ross Oscar Knight

Yesterday, Ross Oscar Knight featured an interview and my new head shots on his blog. Check it out here.I'm so used to being on the other side of the camera, helping my brides get ready for their special day. For me, it's nerve wrecking to be in front of the camera. But my good friend Ross Knight, made me feel so at ease, and as a result captured my true personality in the photos. I'm hard at work updating my branding and website. Hopefully soon I'll be able to show how these photos will be incorporated into my company's fresh new look!

Atlanta Wedding Venue - Atlanta National Golf Club

Atlanta has such diverse choices for wedding venues. No matter what a bride is looking for, there's a venue to match her vision. And for those in search of a country club vibe, Atlanta National Golf Club, offers a picturesque setting for weddings.I toured the venue with the catering and events director, and the club has an intimate getaway feeling. Located just outside of Roswell, in the city of Milton, acres of woods and greenery surround the club.Amanda Gehardt, the events director, personally oversees each wedding to ensure each couple has exactly what they want for their wedding. Contact her for a tour via email.

Friday's wedding was intimate and beautiful. I think everyone in attendance at some point shed tears of joy. There was love and happiness all around. Here are a few teaser photos of the couple by photographer Brenda Upton. And here are a few photos to show you how the "grandma's attic" decor turned out.

I'll be sure to share more details when I get the professional photos.

Wedding Style - Grandma's Attic

I love having clients who think outside the box and let their personalities reflect in their wedding style. We have been preparing for Friday's wedding, and the bride has selected a "Grandma's Attic" theme due to the fact she loves all things vintage and doilies.

Here is the area where the couple will have the ceremony. We will drape in front of the green door with sheer ivory fabric. The plants and trees will accent the area perfectly.
Guests will be served lemonade and water on this stand as they wait for the ceremony to begin.
The reception tables will have burlap tablecloths, hemstitched napkins, and doily runners.

And centerpieces will consist of vintage tea tins, blue mason jars, and candles.

Can't wait to see how the details all come together!

Inspired Bride - StudioWed Vendor Giveaways

One thing I love about having this blog is being able to look back and see the progression I've made over the years. In 2007, I had my first open house event at the Chocolate Pink Cafe. In 2008, I had my 2nd open house event at the Solarium. In the 2nd year I involved fellow vendors and that is what sparked the idea for me to open a studio.

This year, I'm excited to have a 3rd open house style event, but this time I'm doing it at my studio - StudioWed Atlanta! It's going to be bigger and better than anything I've done before. All of my StudioWed vendors are going over the top to offer brides an event that will be inspiring and unforgettable!

Atlanta Wedding Venue - The Mansion on Peachtree

I had the pleasure of touring the Mansion on Peachtree last week and was so impressed with this luxury 4 star boutique hotel in the heart of Buckhead.
The English gardens are absolutely gorgeous and have a very 'secret garden' type of feel.
The hotel's Rosewood Room, which features a terrace overlooking the English Gardens, can host seated receptions for up to 120 persons. Perfect for an intimate wedding.
And of course the rooms aren't too shabby either!

What I love most about luxury boutique hotels is the level of service you and your guests receive. From the moment they are greeted at the door, throughout the event, and leave for the evening, the Mansion's staff will make sure that guests are taken care of and have an experience that they will never forget.
