Photographer Ross Oscar Knight recently featured a wedding where guests wrote messages of goodwill for the newly married couple and released these lanterns into the sky.

Sky lanterns make for a very dramatic end to a wedding and one source for them is at Flying Chinese Lanterns
I'm looking forward to using these for a destination wedding in December! Anyone have other unique ideas for wedding exits?

Michelle, that's gorgeous--and another great case for having, at the very least, a day-of coordinator. I'm sure if everyone knows the release is going on, and how to do it, you get a really unique send-off. Can you imagine how disappointed that bride would be if her beautiful send-off didn't happen because there was no one there to direct it?
I love this idea! And the images are fabulous... of course :)
This is SOOOOOOO COOL! I wonder, though, what happens to the lanterns once the flame burns up? :)
